New Athletic Administrator Workshop, 8/18/10
Dear Athletic Administrator your Association at Work for You! Advanced registration is required, by August 11th with the NJSIAA. The workshop date is August 18th in Robbinsville at NJSIAA headquarters at 8:30am. The information is now posted on the home page of the NJSIAA.org website.
The DAANJ in conjunction with the NJSIAA have partnered to help Athletic Administrators new to the profession and with less than three years of experience to have the opportunity to enhance their training and preparedness with the "NEW" Athletic Administrator Workshop.
The agenda will focus on items you need to know from ADs and the NJSIAA. We have condensed the day and included in the afternoon the NIAAA Leadership Training LTC 504 (Athletic Admin.: Legal Issues 1 - Risk Management) which is one of three courses needed to attain your (CAA) Certified Athletic Administrator certification by the NIAAA. The other two courses required for the CAA certification are LTC 501 (Athletic Admin: Philosophy, Leadership Organizations and Professional Programs), and Course 502 (Athletic Administration: Principles, Strategies and Methods) can now be taken on-line through NIAAA.
Also as a new AD please remember it is not to late to sign up for the 2010-11 school year as a DAANJ/NIAAA member. Information is posted on-line on this website.
Hope to see you at the workshop in Robbinsville On August 18th.
Yours in Athletics - Bob Rossi - CAA/CMAA
