DAANJ Donation to Hurricane Katrina Relief

Earlier this school year the DAANJ made a donation of $5,300 to assist families in the area affected by Hurricane Katrina. The donation went to the Harrison County School District and was distributed to the families of high school and middle school coaches in need of the financial assistance during a difficult time for them. Mr. Frank Baldachino, Executive Director of the DAANJ has received numerous thank you wihses from those who have recieved a part of our association's donation. He asked that some of those letters be duplicated here for you to read.

Dear Mr. Frank Baldachino,
On Behalf of the Harrison County School District Board of Trustees, I would like to thank the Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey, Inc. for donating $5,300 to our athletic families in need during the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina. Our schools and communities will soon recover thanks to the efforts and donations of those like you. Thank you for thinking of us.

Your thoughtfulness and generosity will not be forgotten. To every person who has assisted in any way, congratulations for a job well done. I applaud you for what you have done and for what you continue to do.
Sincerely,
Henry Arledge
