Coaching Certification Information

Plans are being developed to implement the NFHS/ACEP Coaching Principles as well as Sports First Aid courses during the Spring of 2006.. Dates and locations of these courses will be announced at a later date.

During the 2005 NJSIAA legislative meeting the membership approved coaching certification regulations beginning in the 2006-2007 school year that all new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete the NFHS/ACEP Coaching Principles course as well as a Sports First Aid course. All coaches must be CPR certified. The fee for each course for each participant will be approximately $65.00 and will be the responsibility of the school or individual. Schools will have the option to have their coaches successfully CPR certified at their schools. Our Sports First Aid course will include CPR certification.
