A contemporary trend among high school sport spectators is to ignore the boundaries of sportsmanship and act in ways that are disruptive, inappropriate and potentially dangerous, as shown with the recent after-school violence in our country. Nearly all school districts have security measures in place during school days. However, similar risk management policies are too often overlooked or ignored for evening events.



The courts have consistently ruled that schools must provide a reasonable standard of care, and this evidence must be documented.



Safe Sport Zone, NIAAA and American Family Insurance have partnered up to provide a cost effective program called $10 Safety Training for schools/school districts. We are trying to mass train, 100 or more staff at one time, starting in August. For ten dollars each person would receive a manual and a certificate upon completion of the workshop. The workshop would last around 90 minutes, Our program has been developed for a large school setting. This training would normally cost $125 per person but because of American Family Insurance’s commitment we are able to lower the cost down to $10 per person. It’s like a grant!



We are booking for the 2012-13 school year on a first come first serve basis. American Family Insurance will take care of my transportation cost. All we need from you is a facility, date and time to train.
