Santorine Scholarship Application

A.W. ýSONNYý SANTORINE, SR. SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Schedule Star/HighSchoolSports.net, in partnership with the DAANJ, has established the A.W. ýSonnyý Santorine, Sr. Scholarship Fund for an initial five years, starting in 2007/08.

The scholarship fund will provide two $500.00 scholarships, one to a male and one to a female student of an active member of the DAANJ. There will be an application process, due January 15th of any given year. The applications will be screened by the DAANJ Awards Sub-Committee, with notification to award winnersý by February 1st of any given year.

Selection Criteria:

ý Child of an active New Jersey Athletic Director who is a current member of the DAANJ.
ý A senior male/female student in good standing at a New Jersey High School.
ý Student will pursue a higher education degree at an accredited college or university.
ý Student must have participated in the athletic program at their respective high school.
ý Student must complete the Athletic/Academic profile as per application process.

Awards will be presented at the annual DAANJ Convention in March (starting in 2007/08). The number of monetary awards will be reviewed annually between Schedule Star and the Executive Director of the DAANJ. The monetary awards will be sent directly to the studentýs college of attendance with a Certificate of Award presented to the recipient at the DAANJ Convention.
